If you’ve visited my website within the last couple of days, great! You’ve probably seen that I’ve made a few changes to the design and layout. What do you think? I even made myself a shiny new logo!
But why the change, you ask? It was necessary, and I’ll tell you why. In the coming months I plan to start putting out more quality content. I want to share samples of my writing and my journey to get published, but I also want to discuss issues within the writing world and with parenting.
Being a parent and a homemaker greatly impacts my writer’s journey, so I want to share those struggles in a unique way so that others know they’re not alone. I want them to know that they, too, can pursue their dreams while also taking care of their families. It’s also a dream of mine to be able to make enough money blogging that I can go back to staying home full-time. Although I enjoy my part-time job, I miss being home with my family.
In light of my desires and plans for the website, I spent the last two days making my website prettier and easier for readers to access and navigate. I’m really hoping that the new site design and layout will help generate more traffic. I don’t write just to write–I want my writing to be read. I want to be able to have meaningful conversations with my followers.
